Terence Crawford's trainer says he would beat Floyd Mayweather if they fought in their primes
Terence Crawford's trainer, Brian McIntyre, has no doubt in his mind that 'Bud' would beat Floyd Mayweather if they fought in their primes.
Having recently beat Errol Spence Jr in a super fight, Crawford is now the undisputed welterweight world champion, with a record of 40-0.
And having previously won the undisputed super lightweight world titles, Crawford has established himself as arguably the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the sport today.
With that being said, Floyd Mayweather Jr, who retired with an unbeaten record of 50-0, is arguably the greatest fighter of all time, or at least he certainly has claimed that title for himself.
Speaking to talkSPORT about Crawford, McIntyre, otherwise known as Bomac, said: "Terence is the best, he's the pound-for-pound best fighter in the world."
And when asked who would win between a prime Mayweather and a prime Crawford, he replied without hesitation: "Crawford."

Before continuing: "There are two things. For one, Crawford is like my son, so I'm going to always go with him."
As for his second point, McIntyre explained: "Terence has that dog in him.
"Terence didn't get to where he is now overnight, it's taken years and years.
"But, if you put 'Bud' in there in his prime with Mayweather in his prime, then of course Mayweather is gonna be the smarter one, but I think 'Bud' will have more dog in him."

In terms of what's next for Crawford, there have been talks of him and Canelo meeting at a catchweight for a huge fight and McIntyre revealed that this is something 'Bud' is interested in.
"'Bud' said that he wants to be one of the best guys to ever lace up the gloves, so you have to do things like that to be great and that's one of those things where he wants to challenge himself," McIntyre said.
